Structural Fabrication Behind Every Installation

_edited.jpg

At Tarp Fab & Repair, fabric is only part of the solution.

Every shade sail, vinyl enclosure, and awning we install is supported by a purpose-built structural framework designed to handle real loads, real weather, and long-term use. Our support systems are engineered, fabricated, and installed in-house to ensure strength, fit, and reliability from the ground up.

This is the backbone of our work—and the reason our systems last.

Built From the Structure Out

Fabric systems are only as strong as what holds them up. Wind loads, snow accumulation, tension forces, and attachment points all place stress on the supporting structure. That’s why we design each support system specifically for the application, environment, and use case.

Our team handles:

  • Structural steel and aluminum fabrication

  • Custom posts, frames, brackets, and mounting hardware

  • Welded connections and reinforced attachment points

  • Integration with existing buildings or new construction

  • Coordination with engineering and permitting

Nothing is off-the-shelf. Every system is built to fit.

In-House Welding & Fabrication

All structural components are fabricated in our Bend, Oregon shop. This allows us to control quality, materials, and tolerances while keeping everything aligned with the fabric system it supports.

Our fabrication capabilities include:

  • MIG and TIG welding

  • Structural steel and aluminum work

  • Custom brackets, gussets, and load points

  • CNC cutting and forming

  • Coordination for powder-coated or painted finishes (as required)

Because fabrication and installation are handled by the same team, there’s no disconnect between design intent and real-world execution.

Seamless Integration With Fabric Systems

Support systems aren’t an add-on—they’re designed as part of the complete assembly.

We fabricate structural elements specifically to work with:

  • Shade sails and tensioned fabric systems

  • Roll-up vinyl enclosures

  • Fixed and retractable awnings

  • Seasonal or permanent patio enclosures

This integrated approach ensures proper alignment, clean installation, and consistent performance across the entire system.

Engineered for Real-World Conditions

Central Oregon weather isn’t forgiving—and neither are commercial applications. Our support systems are designed with practical load considerations in mind, including:

  • Wind exposure and uplift

  • Snow load and water shedding

  • Tension forces from shade sails and enclosures

  • Long-term material fatigue

We build systems that don’t just look good on day one, but continue performing year after year.
